"I have always been passionate about food and cooking and used to have a career as a PA but suffered from increasing ill heath regarding IBS, arthritis and allergies. Lack of answers from the medical profession led me to start researching nutrition. I became so interested that I chose to study for three and half years as a Nutritional Therapist.

I obtained three Diplomas from the Kevala Centre who are a recognised college by BANT (British Association of Nutritional Therapists) and set up my clinic, What's Eating You Nutrition, based in Lambourn, near Newbury in Berkshire as well as other clinics in Wantage, Newbury and Aldbourne.

I take pride in helping people overcome health issues through nutrition. I particularly enjoy watching people obtain their goals through weight loss.

One of my daughter's was particularly fussy with food, and I learnt how to retrain her eating habits, and to go on helping other children who have difficult eating habits.

I have experienced myself the difference food can make to your health. You owe it to yourself now and for the rest of your life!"

Sam can be heard on Radio Berkshire on occasions and regularly contributes to Country Walking magazine.

What if my diet is very poor?

Don't worry if your diet is poor, I am not there to judge, just to help. It is important to be honest.

What is the difference between a dietician and nutritionist?

A dietician usually works for a GP or hospital and will recommend diets for specific conditions e.g. diabetes. A nutritionist strictly speaking is someone who is involved with the science of food technology. I am a nutritional adviser / therapist and I work not by treating the symptom, but looking at the cause of the symptom including stress, lifestyle and past illnesses or medication.
